Thread by thread tear mending was part of my practice at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. I mended a large rip which had been worked on by fellow students previously. First, it was a challenge to work with this technique as it required deep concentration and high precision. With day-to-day practice, however, I became faster in closing the tear as well as more accurate in connecting the open threads.
